The idea behind the design concept of this apartment began with its privileged position, located in the immediate vicinity of the Barbu Văcărescu office area, an important business hub of Bucharest. Thus, we let herself be guided by the notions of smart, urban and contemporary, integrating them into a minimal design, suitable for the “corporate” lifestyle. To these notions, we then added an extra touch of rough textures inspired by nature’s tectonics.

The two-room apartment with an area of 52 square meters is located on the 9th floor of the Dinamic City, one of its strengths being the panorama over the city. The large windows framing the view like a painting was let to become the main color accent - always changing - of the apartment. Thus, the proposed color scheme is an interplay of strong contrasts between black and white, with various shades of gray for certain pieces of furniture. In fact, the whole apartment is a game of permanent contrasts between glossy and porous, smooth and rough, warm and cold, colorful and monochrome.

The warmth of the oak flooring is in a complementary contrast with the raw textures of the walls and the ceiling, obtained either by applying a textured paint on the walls or just letting the structural material of the ceiling - concrete - visible. This last detail also adds an industrial note to the whole atmosphere.

The design universe of the bedroom continues the same aesthetic line of the entire apartment. Color enters this apartment through the bedroom, where dark shades of green and blue induce a state of relaxation, sustaining the main function of the bedroom - that of a resting space. A generous open-dressing wall, was designed as a geometric composition perfectly integrating functionality and aesthetics. Strategically placed near the window, a generous mirror expands the space, reflects the urban landscape and brings extra light in the room.

The minimal kitchen continues the already familiar interplay of textures between exposed concrete, smooth plaster, oak flooring and countertop, black and light grey MDF doors and perfectly integrates  contemporary design with utility, organization and attention to detail.

The alternating textures are also present in the bathroom: reflective surfaces contrast with the porosity and brutalistic appearance of the visible concrete wall, while the white & grey ceramic tiles complete the clean atmosphere of the entire space.
