Initially, the project involved the interior refurbishment of a studio, built on the roof of a multifamily housing building.

When we started the demolitions, we found that the roof consisted of various extensions with different heights and materials of poor technical quality, and the exterior walls offered no thermal insulation.

 Thus, a complete exterior and interior remodeling was carried out, with a new metal structure and roof.

 Being a small apartment, we opened the space by limiting the compartmentalization to the bathroom and bedroom. The new kitchen opened to the living room, allowed to expand the leisure area, complementing it with a balcony.

 The distinction between the entrance area and the living area was achieved in two ways: through a bookcase opened at half height, to maintain the visual connection between the spaces, and with different ceiling heights, with special attention to the sloped living room ceiling to give more nobility and wideness to the space.

 The bathroom is naturally lit by a small skylight.

 The continuity of the spaces was achieved by limiting the materials and colors applied: the same ceramic in the kitchen and bathroom, wood in the remaining areas, the ever-present white. We chose to highlight the entrance door from the white walls with the same wood from the floors.

 White, light gray and wood are the color palette of the apartment.

The interior, once dark, closed and humid, became bright, wide and warm.
