Nomili Patisserie is a chain of French-style cafés offering a wide range of quality pastries. Following the success of the first location in Kfar Saba, several other branches were opened in Hod Hasharon and Ra'anana.

The initial branch was designed in a certain manner that did not suit the nature of the brand as it developed over the years, and therefore requires cosmetic renovation.

The first thing that stood out was that what is already a small space, felt even smaller because of an incorrect division of space. As one can only imagine, every meter that is not properly utilized in any business and in a small space in particular, may have a decisive effect on the success of the business. Therefore, we have canceled the plaster barriers and unnecessary niches and opened up the space to the street so that it is all exposed and can be seen through the large front shop window.

By doing that, the dining hall felt much more spacious, brighter and inviting. Enabling proper movement of customers that would allow faster service, expose the customer to a wider range of products and increase the overall sales.

The large cake freezer was covered with French-style carpentry and was placed next to the cash register counter so it would be exposed and accessible and not at the expense of the seating area.

On both sides of the space, large MDF libraries were designed with a color finish in the oven. Their bottom doors look like storage drawers with library-like ‘label’ knobs. while above are open storage shelves. The upper cornice, located above the customer's reach, serves as a storage unit with an easy-to-open clappa door.

Due to the expansion of the space, it was possible to add two more tables to accommodate customers. This with the fact that the customers sit on the side of the display shelves is of course critical for the increase of sales in such a small space.

On the right side of the space, a bar counter was designed for the in-and-out rushing morning customers who come for a quick espresso fix or a grab-and-go bag of pastries for the way.

On the main wall hung the logo of the chain store, made of a CNC cut of brown-painted metal and above hung light fixtures with an industrial, vintage and authentic look.

At the end of the corridor small rolling pins are hung in order to emphasize that first and foremost it is a patisserie and to provoke the customers imagination about the baker on the other side of the wall that is lovingly rolling out the dough just before he enters it into the oven.

The color palette selected for the carpentry and the entire space matches the colors of the brand and completes its graphic language.

Since the owners lived a considerable period in France while training and learning the secrets of the profession, they desired a classic French flooring with yellowish-mustard and chocolate-brown checkered tiles to align with the brand’s colors.

The walls of the space were painted with a delicate creamy shade, emphasizing the strong element of dough that is the core of the establishment , creating a light, relaxed and pleasant space that feels much larger than its true size, but at the same time, has not lost its intimacy.
