The intervention is a recovery of an attic of a building in Turin whose final intention of the client is a main use for Airbnb. The project thus becomes an opportunity to create an environment that can accommodate future tenants in the best possible way and at the same time give them a moment of relaxation and peace. The building structure in reinforced concrete becomes the main project element. Close to it, a big window with spatial subdivision function beetween the sleeping area and the living room that amplifies the spaces and allows a 360-degree view of the whole house. A green volume hides the bathroom and a technical volume inside. Thanks to the wide velux and the two newly built dormer windows, the environment is enriched with a light that was previously lacking. Hybridizing the existing structure, two metal beams are inserted instead of the previous beams in reinforced concrete to increase the height from the ground and allow an easier passage. The distribution pipes of the heating further characterize the intervention moving themself freely within the volume of the house.

L’intervento è un recupero di un sottotetto di uno stabile in Torino il cui intento finale della committenza è un utilizzo principale a Airbnb. Il progetto diventa quindi occasione per creare un ambiente capace di ospitare nel miglior modo possibile i futuri inquilini e al tempo stesso donare ad essi un momento di relax e pace. La struttura portante in cemento armato diventa l’ elemento di progetto principale. Si affianca ad esso una vetrata di suddivisione spaziale tra la zona notte e il soggiorno che amplifica gli spazi e permette una visione a 360 gradi di tutta la casa. Un volume di colore verde nasconde al suo interno il bagno e un volume tecnico.
Grazie agli ampi velux e ai due abbaini di nuova costruzione l’ ambiente si arricchisce di una luce di cui era precedentemente carente. Ad ibridare la struttura esistente due profilati metalliche si inseriscono al posto delle travi precedenti in cemento armato per aumentare l’altezza da terra e permettere un passaggio più agevole. Le tubazioni di distribuzione del riscaldamento, elemento ritrovato, caratterizzano l’intervento muovendosi liberamente all’interno del volume della casa.
