The tower-like annex with its three-storey structure should blend in its bourgeois surroundings. The question was: subordinate or present yourself?

Nevertheless, the stereometric attachment appears confident with an independent, contemporary design language. With its own quality, the cubic extension sets itself apart from the old building as a real eye-catcher. A gold-colored metal skin was chosen as the facade material.

The new building is opened in the basement. There is a multifunctional room with kitchen and shower / toilet. An internal staircase leads to the newly created dining room on the ground floor, which is connected to the living room in the old building.

On the floor above is the new bedroom, which can only be entered via the upper floor of the old building. The roof terrace is accessed by an outside staircase.

 Clarity, minimalism and restraint continue inside. The architecture relies on the charm of the contrast.
