The Casal has been designed from CPVA in close collaboration with the municipal technicians and the Association of Pensioners and Pensioners of Palaudarias, giving rise to a facility that responds fully to the demands of the users and the demands of the promoter, without leaving On the other hand the architectural sensitivity and the environment where it is located.
The building is located on an island of municipal facilities where there is also a Nursery School and a Civic Center, at the foot of the Palaudàries highway. It has a single floor of 490 m2 built and has: the main hall, with access from the road, and a large multipurpose room with possibility of operation as 1 room, 2 or 3 independent depending on the use, with facade in the inner space of the island, where there is the courtyard of the nursery school. On one side of the main access, with a facade on the street, there is a kitchen, with its warehouse and an attached warehouse, and the exit to a terrace where it is planned to install a barbecue. On the other side of the main entrance, also with façade on the street, there are the rest of the rooms and services, which are two offices, a hairdresser's shop and two general toilets.
The project has successfully tackled two challenges, the first to build a building with energy rating A (maximum energy efficiency), and the second to do the project with the BIM methodology (Bulding Information Modeling).
The maximum energy efficiency has been achieved by orienting the building well, increasing the thermal insulation by 200% and installing high-energy installations in air conditioning (aerothermia) and lighting (LED).
The BIM methodology consisting of creating a 3D digital model of the building, integrating Architecture, Structure and Installations, has allowed to achieve an efficient collaboration and communication between the different technicians in the design phase, one Comprehensive technical and economic control in the construction phase, and a 3D digital model of the building that is faithful to the constructed reality that will allow it to manage and maintain the property throughout its useful life.
In the most architectural aspect, an innovative system of structure of contralaminated wood panels has been incorporated which integrates the structure and the defining enclosures of space in the same element, which is also the final finish, achieving a great warmth and comfort for the users.
The building is organized through these structural wooden panels, which define all the spaces and the volume of the cover, designed with different heights and slopes according to the functionality of the uses. Thus, in the halls of activity there is more height, and the areas of circulation, offices and services are lower.
The use of natural materials such as wood in the structure and windows, recycled materials such as wooden shades and prefabricated construction systems has made the impact and emissions significantly reduced throughout its entire life cycle .

El Casal se ha diseñado desde CPVA en estrecha colaboración con los técnicos municipales y la Asociación de Jubilados y Pensionistas de Palaudàries, dando lugar a un equipamiento que responde totalmente a las demandas de los usuarios y las exigencias del promotor, sin dejar de lado la sensibilidad arquitectónica y el entorno donde se ubica.

El edificio se ubica en una isla de equipamientos municipales donde también hay una guardería y un Centro Cívico, al pie de la carretera de Palaudàries. Es de una sola planta de 490 m2 construidos y cuenta con: el vestíbulo principal, con acceso desde la carretera, y una gran sala polivalente con posibilidad de funcionamiento como 1 sala, 2 o 3 independientes en función del uso, con fachada al espacio interior de manzana, donde está el patio de la guardería. En un lado del acceso principal, con fachada a la calle, hay una cocina, con su almacén y un almacén anexo, y la salida a una terraza donde se prevé instalar una barbacoa. En el otro lado del acceso principal, también con fachada a la calle, está el resto de salas y servicios, que son dos despachos, una peluquería y dos aseos generales.

El proyecto ha abordado con éxito dos retos, el primero hacer un edificio con calificación energética A (máxima eficiencia energética), y el segundo hacer el proyecto con la metodología BIM (Bulding Information Modeling).

La máxima eficiencia energética se ha conseguido orientando bien el edificio, incrementando los aislamientos térmicos el 200% e instalando instalaciones de alto rendimiento energético en climatización (aerotermia) e iluminación (LED).

La metodología BIM consistente en crear un modelo digital 3D del edificio, integrando la Arquitectura, la Estructura y las Instalaciones, ha permitido conseguir una colaboración y comunicación eficiente entre los diferentes técnicos en la fase de diseño, un control técnico y económico exhaustivo en la fase de construcción, y un modelo digital 3D del edificio totalmente fiel a la realidad construida que permitirá hacer una gestión y mantenimiento del inmueble a lo largo de su vida útil.

En la vertiente más arquitectónica se ha incorporado un sistema innovador de estructura de paneles de madera contralaminada que integra la estructura y los cerramientos definitorios del espacio en un mismo elemento que además es el acabado final, consiguiendo una gran calidez y confort para los usuarios.

El edificio se organiza mediante estos paneles estructurales de madera, que definen todos los espacios y la volumetría de la cubierta, diseñada con diferentes alturas y pendientes de acuerdo con la funcionalidad de los usos. Así en las salas de actividades hay más altura, y los espacios de circulación, despachos y servicios son más bajas.
La utilización de materiales naturales como la madera en la estructura y las ventanas, materiales reciclados como los falso techo de virutas de madera y sistemas prefabricados de construcción ha hecho que se reduzca considerablemente el impacto y las emisiones durante todo su ciclo de vida.
