STATION F, which houses the world's largest start up campus in Paris, has asked the architecture & design agency Cutwork, a specialist in coworking and coliving, to work on the common living spaces of the 100 flatmates apartments, aiming at housing 600 people and to design the emerging lifestyles of this community.

The agency used its inventive concept of metal bending and "digital craft" to create and manufacture more than 5000 pieces of furniture.

Cutwork also developed a community-based design concept, interpreting three Japanese concepts of words for space: WA - BA - MA."
- WA is a space of deep concentration, introspection and self-understanding in relation to others
- BA is a space for collaboration, extroversion and knowledge sharing
- MA is a space for the spontaneous and the unexpected - the collision of people and ideas

This project is the result of close collaboration between the STATION F team, the architects of the Wilmotte & Associés project, and the design and architecture firm Cutwork.

Just as co working has completely redefined the concept of workspace in a short period of time, co living is closely following the movement with even greater potential to radically change the ways we build our cities, communities and lifestyles.
