TASK

The Mall Cloche d´or opened at the beginning of June. Spanning 75,000 square metres, the modern and innovative shopping centre presents 140 stores from various industries. The shop design and store concept of the optician's specialist store Moitzheim had to match the mall's overall standards. It was implemented with modern materials and colours in harmonious combinations to achieve the desired functions. The optician's chain is known not only for its technical competence, but also for its unique room concepts and interior styles. This shop presents corrective lenses and sunglasses for the entire family.

CHALLENGE

Schedule coordination and logistics for the required crafts are special challenges interior designers have to meet during shop projects in new malls. As a general contractor, HEIKAUS knows just how important it is never to exceed the specified time and building constraints imposed by the centre management. Meeting the set opening date is vital in a project of this size.

Jaques Moitzheim wanted a shop designed to be invitingly modern. Each of the Moitzheim specialist stores is presented in its own specific store design. Customers recognise the chain by this unique philosophy and the optician's familiar logo. This store has an impressive room height of five metres that had to be integrated into the design. Skilful shop fitting made it possible to present the goods just perfectly.

SOLUTION

The sales area of 115 m² impresses with its room height of nearly five metres. The walls and ceilings are sprayed black starting at three metres' height. Unobtrusive LED spotlights transform the dark ceiling into a sparkling starry sky. This impressive room volume is stylishly emphasised by gigantic light-up images. The rather muted, natural colours and materials were chosen for a comfortable but modern ambience. Large anthracite floor tiles are a harmonious match for the dark metal frame furniture and the presentation walls for glasses in light oak wood. A comfortable lounge corner with pastel-pink armchairs invites customers to linger before they continue to explore sophisticated details, including extensible turning mirrors, presentation walls in a textile look and an exciting combination of various metallic colours and elements.
