The 1940’s home was originally built by a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright. The owners wanted to update and expand the home while staying true to its distinctive characteristics and historical influences. Designer Sherry Hope-Kennedy, Studio SHK, created a home layered with texture, utilizing natural materials and a rich palette of deep browns and blues. It was important to the clients to use handcrafted, natural materials as much as possible. As a result, the furnishings are a combination of modern and Arts and Crafts style.
