Tengchong Heshunli Sales Center and Villa Showroom | H DESIGN

The project is located in the connecting zone of the new and the old area of Tengchong City in Yunnan Province, at the north of the ancient Nanzhao Kingdom citysite, not far from the ancient town Heshun, which is known as one of best charming towns in China. Heshunli, the high-end commercial complex, it aims to build a large-scale comprehensive community integrating residence, tourism, culture, commerce, leisure and education in the name of city reception hall to become the new landmark and business card showing Tengchong's regional culture.

Sales Center丨1200m²

Architecture carries the memory of a city, while the interior space is the extension of architectural vitality. Following spiritual evolution and cultural heritage of Tengchong, a natural, leisurely and elegant sales-center integrating of traditional Chinese elements and modern space construction creation was built. Light is the best component of space, penetrating into the corridor purely. Concise adornment painting and landscape decoration echo with wooden ceiling naturally, creating a kind of classic and delicate space atmosphere. Walking through the corridor to the lobby, the partition of the moon portal plays a unique role of visual communication, forming a spacious space with the virtuality and the reality. The burlywood pine tree implies the leisure and the enron of this border city.

Calm and warm burlywood color is the main tone of the entire space. In the corner of the main hall, beside the art paintings used for the decoration, movable wired glass partition reveals a warm shimmer with light strips inside. At the bar, the crisscrossing brass grilles create a visual connection to the space and also increase the fun of exploring the spatial form. People can arrive at the second floor by a geometric staircase made of wood veneer and blended with the clear white body, producing the warmth that people want to touch. It is worth mentioning that several pieces of floor-standing art installations with different volumes are presented in the space with unique gestures, dialoguing with different design elements.

The meaningful simplicity of the hall gives people an impression of cleanliness and clarity, while the negotiation area is light luxury, showing a low profile and introverted posture. The huge background wall is drawn with the landscape of Tengchong, and the magnificence of mountains are in harmony with the quietness of the valleys. Dark green soft assembly decoration and clear black lines matches each other, which looks like the artistic conception of West Yunnan forest and wilderness pervaded the whole space, full of “fresh”, making people feel comfortable.

The design of the ceiling above the main hall is the visual center of the space. Numerous log strips crisscross each other, forming an interesting facade full of tension and making up the main smallpox texture. The hanging ceiling is like a growing wooden box that runs through two layers of the space, presenting more artistic gestures. For the designer, it is the soul and the ultimate value embodiment of design that making the space naturally trigger people’s imagination for a better life.

A1 Show Flat丨220m²

In China, ancient people often chose a dwelling place in the natural landscape to place their bodies and souls. Like the A1 show flat, it tells us the idea that home is a place where people feel at ease and to relax and wander. Entering the space, everywhere indoor extends the refinement and simplicity that inherits sales center. The furniture combination with color of light wood and grayish white, concise and restrained, showing the owner’s pursuit of life quality.

The burlywood grille is complemented by a finely textured carpet as well as a soft sofa, clearly and making a person feel sweet and comfortable. The bar counter beside the dinning- table includes the function of storage and the swaying dandelion on the table makes the corner emotional and gentle. The dining area faces two Windows, absorbing plenty of natural light, and the surrounding landscape is properly incorporated into the interior.

Master bedroom is themed with peach blossoms for the space creation. The atmosphere of life close to the nature and modern fine art display reflects the thinking and the exploration of the designer about the idealized life space. The yellow ginkgo leaves that flutter like butterfly adorns the secondary bedroom，static and powerful imagination integrating into the painting and touching the heart as well.

For the design of the study, the ink line is sprinkled and blended in the green hill and water. The decorative painting on the wall interprets the space theme: Just stay and live here, everything returns to the world and the nature, with the vanity and noise abandoned. 

C1 Show Flat丨320m²

The design of C1 aims to interpret another different attitude of life. In addition to the interpretation of modern Chinese style, it is also to pay tribute to the eastern tradition and the culture of the West Yunnan, growing together to create an ideal place to live in.

Living room adopts a large-area scenery of light and green bamboo which swings in the wind outside while we are staying in the interior. The dark green marble wall background with rich textures is contrasted with the simple furnishings of the space to highlight the spatial level, making it great sense to live here. Dining area adheres to the calm and elegant atmosphere, also adopts multi-element fusion. The inky peaks in adornment picture on the wall stand out well against the artistic furnishings on the table, showing a chic and elegant style. The open interior layout gives the space a variety of possibilities. Tea house in the main hall is connected with dining room, and dark wood grain board runs through the whole process to write the atmospheric space charm, making people immersing in artistic conception of traditional Oriental culture.

The emphasis on the concept of family in this project can be seen everywhere, especially the simple but elegant custom-made furniture details. Turning into the family activity room on the second floor, the exquisite landscape metal wall decoration and delicate tea table furnishings make the space special vibrant, providing cozy and peaceful atmosphere for reading, relaxing or meeting with family and friends.

Elegant bedroom is consistent with the overall color of the space. In the master room, the clouds, landscapes, peach blossoms and the inky architecture on the headboard wall convey the warmth and elegance of Jiangnan style. And the ceramic pieces on the coffee table echo the peach branches on the background wall.

We can feel the ingenious thinking of the designer from this project, it is a perfect combination of multi-cultural immersion and modern style, as well as a loyal expression of the diversified Tengchong lifestyle led by Heshunli. One city, one residence, one courtyard, one mountain and one water, all of them are quietly standing in the city of Tengchong, waiting for people to return.
