Urban Jungle | Piano terra

Our project presents an interior design for a digital industry company with a surface area of 260sqm. We started with a creative brief from our clients. They are very inspirational, young and creative people with a successful business in the field of online publishing. They guided us to creat a dynamic, playful and colorful space.
Their need was to have a very personal space that would complete the organizational culture, a living and cheerful space. The existing space was a commercial ground floor with a free height of 4.7 m, so we integrated an intermediate floor, leaving the high-rise office area, and over the kitchen and bathrooms we have built a multifunctional floor area where there is a meeting room and a space lounge. Also, another requirement was to have green areas, and because the brand's personality is represented by a lion, we have defined a creative concept of "urban jungle". We have tried to overlap "urban" with "jungle" elements. Thus, the open space office has an interior garden combined with specific urban treatments - exposed brick, metal, concrete textures and apparent tubing. The high height of the space allowed us to decorate the walls with simple storage elements and a grid that divides the wall into different chromatic zones. All the colors used are saturated, but not strong. The staircase hides a storage area and is thought to be a decorative object itself and an invitation to the upper floor. Most compartments are made of glass for a good visual communication between spaces. The upstairs meeting room is versatile, with a central table that is a billiard table (a proposal from the client). The most thematic space is the kitchen, where we allowed a more direct approach to the theme of "urban jungle", the presence through wood, special DIY wall paintings on top of the counter, combined with epoxy screeds and furniture fronts, as "urban" elements.
