Inside a residential building, situated in the green area of the Lake Gheorgheni, a well known and very popular area where to spend free time outdoors, a small apartment overlooking the lake has been transformed into an elegant retreat where to spend the summer in the city.

The project involved the demolition of the internal walls to have space for a single central volume that separate the living area from the sleeping area. Two wide passages on the sides of the volume put the two areas in direct communication.
The possibility to move freely around the central volume allows fluid and comfortable flows. The possibility to easily open and close the two full height passages allows you to visually increase or decrease the spaces according to your needs.

Oak wood, with a brushed finish, is the main material of the project. It is used in the natural color for the floor, for the headboard, for the table and the seating of the dining area, and in the charcoal color for the bookcase, the coffe tables and the interiors of the wardrobes. Natural quartz, with a matte finish and warm tone, is used to coat cold surfaces in the bathroom and kitchen.

All’interno di una palazzina immersa nell’area verde del lago di Gheorgheni, luogo conosciuto e molto frequentato per trascorrere il tempo libero all’aria aperta, un piccolo appartamento affacciato sul lago è stato trasformato in un elegante rifugio dove trascorrere il periodo estivo in città.

Il progetto ha previsto la demolizione delle pareti interne per lasciar posto ad un unico volume centrale che separa la zona giorno dalla zona notte. Due ampi passaggi ai lati del volume mettono in comunicazione diretta le due zone.
La possibilità di circolare liberamente attorno al volume centrale permette percorsi fluidi e confortevoli. La possibilità di aprire e chiudere facilmente i due passaggi a tutt’altezza permette di aumentare o diminuire visivamente gli spazi a seconda delle necessità.

Il legno di rovere, con finitura spazzolata, è il materiale principale di progetto. E’ utilizzato nella tonalità naturale per il rivestimento del pavimento, per il fondale del letto, per il tavolo e le sedute della zona pranzo, e nella tonalità carbone per la libreria i tavolini e gli interni degli armadi.
Il quarzo naturale, con finitura opaca e tonalità calda, è utilizzato per rivestire le superfici fredde in bagno e in cucina.
