The integral reform is located in the Cabanyal, an old fishing district facing the sea of ​​Valencia. It is part of an old town house adapted to accommodate an aesthetic cabinet, which is converted into a studio-loft.

We had to solve moisture problems and adapt a housing program. The budget is 25,000 € all inclusive, we decided to use raw materials such as polished concrete throughout the house, raw OSB for almost all the carpentry, mortar walls, collaborative sheet seen in toilet, wall of concrete blocks seen...

During the demolition we discovered a high ceiling in good condition; the kitchen (gloss white postformed) next to the toilet form a module that separates the living area from the night area. Above this module we have a usable space to read or rest, for example.

Extractor hoods for islands are usually very expensive, also, having a high ceiling, there were no adequate extractor. Here we took a wall bell that we lined with OSB and reinforced with shelves.
The room is separated by a transparent glass and thanks to this glass, the ceiling is continuous throughout the bass and creates a feeling of greater amplitude.

The owners have been very open to our proposals and the result is this loft in which industrial and domestic, past and present converge.
