Convivialità, condivisione e accoglienza, sono questi i punti cardine alla base del progetto che ha previsto la totale ristrutturazione di un appartamento di 120 mq situato nel quartiere Prati a Roma. Le richieste della committenza, un nucleo familiare in procinto del secondo figlio, sono state molto precise, esprimendo la volontà di avere una nuova distribuzione funzionale con una zona notte costituita da tre camere da letto spaziose e un living a pianta aperta dove le classiche funzioni di zona pranzo e soggiorno potessero esprimere al meglio il concetto di convivialità familiare. L’idea è stata quindi enfatizzata da una lettura dello spazio graduale che sin dall’ingresso è stata mitigata da un sistema ingegnoso e ‘custom made’ di flabelli di legno atti a creare un gioco di luci e ombre durante le ore del giorno; scenario che cambia completamente con la luce notturna, tramite il posizionamento di faretti, tra un flabello e l’altro, che creano sfere di luce fluttuanti nell’ambiente architettonico. Entrati nell’open space, si ha la sensazione di essere in uno spazio ZEN, tempio sacro della famiglia, non solo inteso come luogo di condivisione di vita familiare, ma anche come momento di pensiero e riflessione: in questo spazio non ci sono punti di vista privilegiati, nulla blocca lo sguardo e il focus di tutto diventano proprio i gesti di vita domestica. L’ interior design è asettico, minimalista ed è caratterizzato da una parete attrezzata realizzata in cartongesso che ospita il camino, l’area tv e gli scomparti interni a filo muro e da mensole in lamiera di acciaio che fluttuano su mobili contenitore realizzati rigorosamente su progetto. Di spettacolare leggerezza visiva è la vetrata che separa il soggiorno dalla cucina, costituita da una parte scorrevole e una fissa a ridosso della quale è stato realizzato un pick in vetro multifunzionale che, mediante la sua pulizia formale, sembra galleggiare nello spazio. Passando alla zona notte, la camera da letto padronale richiama il concetto di parallelismo dei flabelli tramite una pittura a strisce sulla parete dietro la testata del letto e presenta spaziose armadiature filo muro con inserto tv. I bagni presentano entrambi rivestimenti in gres a tutt’altezza sui toni del grigio e un estremo rigore formale.

Conviviality, sharing and hospitality, these are the key points at the base of the project that involved the total renovation of a 120 square meter apartment located in the Prati district of Rome. The requests of the client, a family on hold of the second child, were very precise, expressing the desire to have a new functional distribution with a sleeping area consisting of three spacious bedrooms and an open-plan living room where the classic functions of dining had to express at the best the concept of family conviviality. The idea was then emphasized by a reading of the gradual space that since the entrance has been mitigated by an ingenious and ‘custom made’ system of wood strips designed to create a play of light and shadow during the hours of the day; scenery that changes completely with the night light, through the placement of spotlights, between a wood strip and the other one, which create spheres of light floating in the architectural environment. In the open space, there is the sensation of being in a ZEN space, a sacred temple of the family, not only intended as a place of family life, but also as a moment of thought and reflection: in this space there are no privileged points of views, nothing blocks the look and the focus of everything becomes
the gestures of the domestic life. The interior design is aseptic, minimalist and is characterized by an equipped wall made of plasterboard that houses the fireplace, the TV area and internal compartments flush with the wall and the shelves in sheet steel that float on container furniture made strictly by project . Of spectacular visual lightness is the glass wall that separates the living room from the kitchen, consisting of a sliding part and a fixed one, behind that, a multifunctional glass pick, thanks to its formal cleaning, seems to float in the space. Turning to the sleeping area, the master bedroom recalls the concept of parallelism of the wood strips of the living room through a stripe painting on the wall behind the head of the bed and has spacious wardrobes flush with the TV insert. The bathrooms both feature full-height stoneware in shades of gray and an extreme formal rigor.
