The place where everything usually happens in the fairy tales is the forest. In the woods villains and heroes front each others, fight for the princesses and magic can happen. This is why the Pinocchio Children's Library assumes the shape of a forest in which children and families discover books of fairies under an original point of view. An immersive space, with blurred borders, but a strong continuity with the exterior area fulfilled by luxuriant trees. In this location children can spend their time discovering stories and space "jumping" on different floors and ladders between the nature just like the Lost boys in Neverland.

The other functions reminds to classic topic places of the fairy tales: the Auditorium is the belly of the monster (Pinocchio, Little Red Hood...), a warm and “noisy” womb; the Reception/ticket booth is the cave where often tales begins or find answers to the quests; the Cafe is the tavern or the warm place where the characters of the fairies find refuge; the Media space is a maze and the underground world, the exhibition area takes place mainly in the former Paper factory reinvented as a castle of marvels, a container of unexpected locations: an isle of pirates in the middle of the ocean, a path in the woods, a floating board between the stars.

The proposal for Pinocchio Children's Library wants to create an immersive experience for the little users; avoiding the risk of looking like a theme Park, or a copy of the already existing Pinocchio Park, the project is settled on two parallels storytelling. One is the recall of classical locations in the fairytales, the other aspect is the tight connection between Nature and the tales; under this point of view the proposal creates these links: Library/vegetation; Auditorium/water; Reception/stone; Cafe/fire.
