Aldo Flore & Rosanna Venezia architects reflects on the significance of the yard as a creative moment that comes into contact with the place and its memory. The architects have asked the artist Caio Gracco to work on re-reading some of their yards to return the atmosphere and suggest new sensations.
This is how CANTIERI MENTALI is born, a project of contemporary art that activates uninhabited places, recovering their memory and atmosphere. In the first phase of the project, the artworks of Caio Gracco were placed in uninhabited historic dwellings or already inhabited by yards, places full of memory, but currently suspended in time and waiting for a new identity and new life.
CANTIERI MENTALI introduces an extraordinary element, as a contemporary artwork, in an uninhabited place. An action capable of creating a strong semantic short circuit and triggering a new energy. The artist's site specific interventions were photographed and so a suggestive trilogy of images was born and shared exclusively on the web. From connotated and dusty places to intangible web space.
