Yinchuan Jianfa Group is a leading real estate development company in Ningxia. Shenzhen Sunson Design was invited to shape and design its head office. As a creator of city evolution, Jianfa Group has participated and led the local city’s great changes for the past 25 years. Located in Da Yue Cheng, which is a nationwide top city-class complex built by Jianfa Group under global vision, the head office occupies 7 floors. Based on the features of real estate industry and the needs of enterprise, Sunson Design created a concise and lively modern office space defined by strong sense of contemporaneity and technology.

Start with plan layout, create efficient and collaborative vibe.

Design can shape and guide people's behavior, as well as create sense of identity and belonging.  In the plan layout stage, Sunson Design adopts a more open space to facilitate work exchanges. Simultaneously light-filled and well-ventilated areas are set as staff’s open workspace. Through rational arrangement, the  integral space is optimized for administrative office, public lounge and conference room, etc. The director of Sunson Design Mr Pan Jun carries through his primary concept for office space design, namely “Leaving the best space for the majority is always reasonable.”

The transparent glass partitions and open furniture bridge between managers  and employees, narrow the gap among different departments. The design of openness motivates staff to have more interaction and coordination, thus greatly improve efficiency.

Emphasize B&W tone, colors up the space with furniture

As a real estate developer, it is characterized by austerity, rationality and order, thus black-and-white is taken as the tone of the space, and the expressiveness of the space is marked by simplicity, professionalization and rationality. The design creates a natural feeling of seriousness and stylish sense of distance. Simultaneously, with a touch of tension and stress, it presents professional endeavors and responsibilities. The careful selection of office furniture has a consistent range of warm colors in orange and red, which have a psychological suggestions that it is positive, bright and warm. 

Human-centered, environmental and denoised

Environmental protection is a basic design principle of Sunson Design. Our proposal for this project, ranging from hard decoration material to soft decoration, is to use various natural and reusable materials, such as aluminum, wood, ceramic tile, etc. The director of Sunson Design Mr Pan Jun suggests that there is no necessity to use luxurious materials in office space design. The moderate use of green materials can reduce waste and avoid pollution, which can still provides health guarantee to businessmen who work in office for more than 8 hours.

It is also necessary to take the issue of noise into consideration. The use of sound-absorbing material is one of the highlights of the design. The ceiling of the workspace uses punching sound-absorbing cellular aluminum panels, while the walls and ceilings of elevator hall and corridor use anodised aluminum panels. The floors use carpets. All these contribute to reduce noise and raise  efficiency.

Besides, the lighting design is also remarkable. The consistent use of linear illumination and the concise integral space complement each other. Meanwhile, in the workspace the illumination intensity is set at over 500LUX in the consideration that it influences people’s work performance in a mental manner. The brighter workspace will stimulate users creativity positively.

The director of Sunson Design Mr Pan Jun summarized, one of the significant benchmarks of the success of an office space design is staffs’ sense of coziness, well-being and creativity, meanwhile in terms of head office design, the visual design will also bring positive impact on the enterprise’s brand image. Several months after the project was put into use, the positive feedbacks from the clients and company staff are actually the best recognition for our design achievement.
