The new created urban landscape articulates independent objects that interact with each other and answer each other in terms of volumetry, scale in a common architectural language and whose link is the public space and the landscape. It consists of an inter-generational residence of 38 dwellings, 26 social housing units, 17 for home ownership and a children's center.
The basic principles of development of the island are:
• Open widely on Pont l'Abbé street and offers a breath of fresh air through a generous public space.
• Cross the island from side to side, connecting its development with the existing network of alleys on the site, and also with the public garden east to the Odet.
• Organize pedestrian and automobile traffic flows by focusing on pedestrian meeting and exchange spaces.
