L’ABITAZIONE, PREFABBRICATA IN LEGNO, È UN VOLUME PURO INSERITO IN UNA STRUTTURA A "C" CHE CONTIENE LA CASA.
 
La casa CM sorgerà nella Valceresio (dal latino valle dei ciliegi), una verdissima ed ampia valle che si stende da Varese al lago di Lugano secondo una direzione nord/est: un luogo denso di bellezza naturalistica e di memoria storica, con resti medioevali e ville liberty di grande valore architettonico. Il committente, che vuole donare alle figlie una casa in legno secondo i più aggiornati canoni architettonici, ha messo a disposizione un lembo del giardino della casa di famiglia.

L’abitazione ha un concept chiaro: un volume semplice inserito in una struttura a “C” che contiene la casa, funge da pensilina ombreggiante e forma un ampio deck in legno aperto sul giardino. Due serre solari all’estremità, un aggetto al piano primo e un sistema di aperture quadrate di diverse dimensioni disposte liberamente sulle facciate completano gli elementi compositivi.

La bioclimatica applicata al progetto, ha suggerito l’esposizione di tutti gli ambienti residenziali a sud e la concentrazione degli ambienti di servizio nella zona nord dell’abitazione. La casa è prefabbricata in legno, le protezioni solari a lamelle e tende a rullo, le pareti ventilate in legno, i materiali naturali (legno, calce, sughero, fibra di legno, cellulosa). Il tetto piano accoglie i pannelli solari e fotovoltaici, mentre il riscaldamento è con impianto geotermico e pompa di calore con riscaldamento radiante a pavimento.

A PROJECT FOR A MODERN LOOKING WOODEN HOUSE, CONCEIVED ACCORDING TO BIO-ECOLOGICAL CRITERIA.
 
The house is located in the Ceresio Valley (from Latin, Cherry Valley), a green and wide valley that extends from Varese to Lugano Lake in a north easterly: a place full of natural beauty and historical memory, with medieval ruins and Art Nouveau villas of great architectural value. The client wants to give their children a wooden house of the most innovative architectural style. For this purpose, a plot of land in the grounds of the main house has been designated.

The house has a simple concept: a separate structure has been constructed within the original framework, which contains the house and serves as a shelter and shade provided by a large wooden deck on the open garden. Two solar greenhouses at either end of the space add the finishing touches to an arrangement of square designs.

The bioclimatic theory underpinning the project, suggested that the living areas should face south, while the utility areas should face north. The house is prefabricated in wood, blinds provide shade from the sun, and the walls have wooden ventilation systems. The house was constructed with natural materials; plaster, cork, wood fiber and cellulose. The flat roof contains the solar panels and PVs, while the heating is geothermal with under floor heating.
