Holding the theme of massage, nursing and relaxation, Kagurazaka Unagi Seikotsuin (which literally means Kagurazaka Eel Osteopathic Clinic) has opened in the Kagurazaka district in Tokyo where history breathes and tradition still persists.Paying respect to the unique atmosphere with refined elegance that people’s lives and streetscape of Kagurazaka create, Japanese aesthetics and a palette of subtle colors were incorporated in designing the small yet relaxing space. The contour of the black curtain rails is also reminiscent of the silhouette of the eel.
