ALTA LIC – 29-26 NORTHERN BOULEVARD

Situated in the heart of New York City, “ALTA LIC” is an impressive residential development executed by Simon Baron Development and Quadrum Global under the architectural supervision of Stephen B Jacobs Group.

 A 467-storey project born out of the pleasure of living in the nerve centre of the city with all the advantages and scale of a large residence, the convenience of being right next to one of the main transport routes and views of a skyline like no other.

 
Located between 29-26 Northern Boulevard in Long Island City, the area known as QE7 due to its proximity to the Q, E and 7 trains, is an area that converges in a nexus of high traffic, therefore the complex had to incorporate in its design the prevention of any noise penetration to the inside of the accommodation.. 
 
Following the New York “Noise Code”, which specifies the maximum permitted decibel levels in various scenarios, the architects Stephen B Jacobs Group and the acoustic engineers of AKRF carefully planned the building systems and materials used in order to provide sound insulation that could also allow outdoor relaxation.
 
So, in order to cover the outside, the lowest floors were fully insulated with a ventilated façade from URBATEK - PORCELANOSA Grupo and as the building gets higher, the advantages become greater, with the topmost part of the building completely enclosed in glass. 

A full enclosure, thanks to the fastening of ceramic tiles with visible clamps to mimic the canvas, and which create a secure barrier with glazing frames.-

Situado en pleno corazón de Nueva York, “ALTA LIC” es el impresionante residencial ejecutado por Simon Baron Development y Quadrum Global con la dirección arquitectónica de Stephen B Jacobs Group. 

Un proyecto de 467 plantas que nace del placer por vivir en el centro neurálgico de la ciudad con las ventajas y la amplitud de una gran vivienda, las comodidades de situarse junto a uno de los principales ejes de comunicación y las vistas de un skyline único.

Ubicado entre el 29-26 Northern Boulevard de Long Island City, la zona conocida como el QE7 por su cercanía a los trenes Q, E y 7,  es una área que convergen en un nexo de alto transito, por lo que en el diseño del complejo se debería evitar la penetración de cualquier ruido en el interior de las viviendas.  
 
Siguiendo el “Código de Ruido” de Nueva York, donde se especifican los niveles de decibelios máximos permitidos en diferentes escenarios, los arquitectos Stephen B Jacobs Group y los ingenieros acústicos de AKRF planificaron cuidadosamente los sistemas y materiales constructivos a utilizar para proporcionar un aislamiento acústico que a la vez permitiera disfrutar de los exteriores.
 
Así, para su la cobertura exterior, las plantas más bajas se han aislado íntegramente con una fachada ventilada con porcelánico URBATEK –PORCELANOSA Grupo y a medida que el edificio gana altura, las ventanas son de mayor tamaño hasta que el vidrio envuelve por completo el edificio en la parte superior.

Un cerramiento completo gracias al anclaje de las piezas cerámicas con grapas vistas que se mimetizan en el lienzo, y que a la vez crean una barrera segura con los marcos del acristalamiento.
