The project site is located along one of the most important streets of Malabo. The main idea of the project follows the study of topological folds which transforms uninterrupted vertical surfaces in horizontal ones and vice versa. This creates a dynamic contrast and a tension that reaches its best expression at the hall’s entry and in the passage leading to the square, a space designed as a place of union among the various functions of the building. The work involves the construction of a multipurpose building, to be carried on a plot of 40.000 sqm. In the building there will be cinema multiplexes, casino, museum, shopping center, sport center, meeting rooms, restaurant, spa, gym, offices, swimming pool and a business hotel.
