CONCEPT:
The task was to create a premium-class interior, the reconstruction
of the entrance façade for a contemporary multifunctional space “8
COLUMNS” in the building in the historical center of Moscow.
This space is dedicated to business, cultural and private events –
from conferences, forums to fashion shows and art exhibitions.
TECHNICAL DESIGN ASSIGNMENT:
To develop the interior design according to key tasks:
design free planning with required technical equipment;
the possibility of modification the space in accordance with the
format of the event.
DEVELOPED AREAS:
Space “8 COLUMNS” is equipped on 3 fl oors, including :
entrance group , entrance canopy, lobby, reception area , wardrobe,
catering area, elevator halls, dressing rooms and 4 halls with a total
area of 1200 sq m and a maximum capacity for up to 600 guests
• Great hall 2nd fl oor - Capacity : 300 people, Area: 360 sq. m.
• Small hall 2nd fl oor - Capacity: 180 people, Area: 270 sq. m.
• Large hall 3rd fl oor - Capacity: 300 people, Area: 340 sq. m.
• Small hall 3rd fl oor - Capacity: 150 people, Area: 220 sq. m.
RESULTS:
The space “8 COLUMNS” was included in the 6 best multifunctional
spaces in Moscow for the versatility of interiors and possibilities of
modifi cation of space under the requirements of clients (according
to the report of agency PR.PROJECT in 2014)

DEVELOPED TECHNICAL FEATURES OF THE SPACE:
• Installed system of stage farms for the installation of sound,
light, video equipment and scenery on the perimeter of the
ceiling
• Modern air conditioning system of the premises ;
• The posts with the power connectors all over the place ;
• Telecommunication equipment;
• Combination of natural and artifi cial lighting programs of
different intensity;
• Full blackout possibility (automatic power system black-out
blinds)
