MAR HOUSE: Is a penthouse located in an old building in the historical centre of Valencia and begins its story with very generous precedents. The high ceilings, the delicate and beautiful woodwork, the interior patios and the attic are the key elements to undertake this project.

The main room is dressed with elements that arise from the history of the building such as the sloping roof, the wooden windows, the metal structure and the brick. But the existing story is based on an innovative dialogue with dynamic and creative expressions such as the parquet with herringbone installation and the cantilever that rests in the structure. The spaces of the house are designed to get a cozy, cheerful, simple and pleasant living.

Sophisticated white doors appear spontaneously and lead to the bedrooms. The artificial light join the longitudinal corridor until a beautiful breeze of natural light appears in the background. Suddenly the hallway breaks and expands into an open, lighted and flexible space.

This atmosphere that surprises us at the end of the walkway seeks out the exterior light, calm and rest. In turn arranges an open kitchen, a living room and a staircase leading to the master bedroom in the attic. The bedroom is hidden in a wooden box that flies over the double height. The wood planks have different sizes, facilitate permeability and promote an energic and creative setting. These three atmospheres are separated with the delicacy and ingenuity of the materials that rest under the light.

CASA MAR: Situada en el ático de un edificio del Ensanche valenciano, Casa Mar empieza su historia con unos precedentes muy generosos. Los techos altos, las delicadas y bonitas carpinterías de madera, los patios interiores y la buhardilla son los elementos clave para emprender este proyecto.

La sala principal se viste con elementos que surgen de la historia del edificio como la cubierta inclinada, los ventanales de madera, la estructura metálica y los capiteles de ladrillo. Pero lo existente se funde en un diálogo innovador con la incorporación de dinámicas y creativas expresiones como el parquet en espiga y el voladizo que descansa en la estructura. Los espacios de la casa se diseñan con la mirada puesta en una convivencia acogedora, alegre, sencilla y agradable.

Por el corredor aparecen de forma espontánea unas sutiles puertas blancas que dirigen hacia los dormitorios. La luz artificial acompaña el recorrido longitudinal hasta que una bonita brisa de luz natural asoma por el fondo. El distribuidor se quiebra y se expande en un espacio abierto, iluminado y flexible.

Este ambiente que nos sorprende al final del recorrido, busca la luz exterior, la tranquilidad y el descanso. A su vez organiza la cocina abierta, una sala de estar y una escalera que conduce al dormitorio principal en el altillo. El dormitorio se esconde en una caja de madera que vuela sobre la doble altura. Las lamas de madera tienen diferentes tamaños, facilitan la permeabilidad y promueven un escenario dinámico y creativo. Estas tres atmósferas se separan con la delicadeza y el ingenio de los materiales que descansan bajo la luz.
