Lahti Travel Centre is located in the transport hub of the city centre next to the existing, historical railway station.

It consists of a 60-meter long canopy for the bus terminal, enclosed elevator structures, local bus stops, supporting landscape elements as well as a new 80-meter long tunnel space. The aim of the design is to create an easily perceivable and high quality entity in a complex city environment at various levels.

The structures above ground are executed in perforated copper and structural glass elements to meet the high requirements of its location in a historical milieu. The tunnel space is clad with anodized aluminium elements, which together with lighting and soundproofing create an exciting environment of its own.
