The significance of batticaloa has not been clearly evaluated from the existing elements and features though there is much native identity of its own in terms of cultural, sociological, political and ethical aspects. The faded history has to be reborn in a place where the building itself would be an object of expressing the value and identity of the natives. Past and present will be joined together in order to guarantee the historic memory.
