The project is located on a steep slope of the land is north facing and offers a completely unobstructed view of the Rhone valley. Served by a road at the bottom of the plot, the plot clings to the slope with two retaining walls defining an entrance and parking space.

The main difficulty of the plot is the northern orientation of its slope. The project responds to this delicate situation with a volume on 3 levels including the day time area on the top floor opening onto a south-facing ready-built terrace. The western corner of the terrace is covered to ensure privacy from further up the slope. The kitchen has views in two directions onto the terrace to the south and an unobstructed view to the north. The living room perched high up in the north-east corner of the house looks out onto the Alpine landscape. The lower level receives the bedrooms while the ground floor consists of the entrance hall, a garage and technical rooms.

The facades are covered with green plaster that integrates building into its green context. The bedrooms have openings, which are flush fitted on the inside, highlighting the thickness of the walls and emphasising the base. Day time areas have large openings flush fitted outside framing the landscape and a large bay window in the south provides continuity between interior and exterior spaces.

The interior materials create a neutral and quiet space. The bedrooms and living room have smooth, white walls and parquet flooring. The traffic areas and the dining room-kitchen area have exposed concrete walls and waxed screed flooring. The bathrooms have coloured tiles.
