In a river the water flows. In a fish bowl the water is stagnant.
We understand light as a fluid, whose fundamental quality is movement.
In a room with windows the light enters and stays stagnant.
We like to let the light enter the space and leave it, flow. The feeling is of an outdoor space. It is a cool, bright and cheerful light. We call it passing light.
En un río el agua fluye. En una pecera el agua está estancada.
Nosotros entendemos la luz como un fluido, cuya cualidad fundamental es el movimiento.
En una habitación con ventanas la luz entra y se queda estancada.
Nos gusta dejar que la luz entre en el espacio y salga de él, que fluya. La sensación es de un espacio al aire libre. Es una luz fresca, brillante y alegre. La llamamos luz pasante.
