Abat is a German firm based in Puebla that provides consulting and programming services. As part of its expansion, a project was developed for its new offices, located in an important commercial corridor in the city of Puebla.

Taking the use of the SAP software (systems applications and products) as a reference, the notion of a processor was conceptualized as an information generator.

In order to represent this idea it was decided to unite all the space by means of a conduit tubing fabric, which, in addition of functioning as a drop ceiling, takes on the shape of the lines of the processor. Through this fabric several electricity, Internet, audio and telephone lines are distributed. This piping is interpreted as an analogy of the information that is necessary for the functioning of the entire system (the office). The pipes come down and provide with these services to the various work centers according to their location.

As the facilities are exposed, a versatile and adaptable space is created according to the requirements of the office, where pipes with services may be added or removed in order to expand or reduce the spaces of work. The same idea is taken on for the furniture, which is mobile in case that more space is required for a private event.

In this way, the project seeks out to reflect a versatile and connected space of work that exchanges information and adapts to different situation in a contemporary atmosphere.
