Sketch project of the circus in the city of Yerevan assumes its location on the site of the old building of the Yerevan Circus on the site adjacent to the intersection of the streets of Gregory the Illuminator and Agatangeghos, showing an attempt to offer the circus image with a modern twist, it meets the latest requirements of the functional, technological, constructive and Architecture-shaped order. At the heart of the dynamic external architectural forms is an image of a creature from the animal world, floating on a plate, with ring-shaped components of its skeleton, representing the basis of a constructive solution. Planning solution of the circus breaks the structure into six functional areas: the viewing part is enclosed in a spherical shape and includes an arena, an amphitheater for 2000 people, the main and secondary entrances; area for keeping the animals – this is a line of structural rings gradually decreasing in size that absorbs enclosures and the yard; the administrative part is placed in the volume of the screen to the left of the spherical shape; the hotel area is located in volume of the left foot of the screen on a plate; the recreation area includes a winter garden, a park with flora and fauna; exhibition hall, museum of the history of the circus occupies the right side of the volume of plates; Structural and building system of the submitted conceptual project involves extensive use of reinforced concrete, glass and metal structures. The area adjoining the circus is kept green with fountains and with the use of small architectural forms, as well as the presentation of the square for outdoor performances and the so-called street art, as well.
