INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR DESIGN IDEAS FOR AN ALPINE BIVOUAC
The International Ideas Competition Minimum Living in the Alps has asked for the design of a minimum, autonomous, reversible living unit (bivouac) for temporary shelter, to be placed along a high altitude path in the Alpine area.
The participation in the Competition, open to groups of young architects, engineers and industrial designers under 40 Italians and foreigners, has established architectural quality, economic, energy and environmental sustainability, durability and feasibility of the structure as points of value for the project.
The competition addressed the theme of living in mountainous areas, in high lands, investigating marginal and extreme situations of living in the Alpine environment to help rethink the canons of the relationship between man and territory.
