Low Farm Barn, was a listed barn conversion with an imaginative twist. The blue colour was chosen to compliment the pink farmhouse and remind one of the famous nearby Southwold seaside beach-huts.

It has a protective, solid look, with appropriate small lights, to a  very close adjacent road on a sharp bend where not unusual for vehicles to misjudge the corner, hence special reinforcement applied to that side, boards made of steel plate, interleaved with timber board....

On the road side of a courtyard complex of mixed lower old buildings fully enclosed by joining walls, the barn corner facing south west was stripped of boarding and replaced with glass. Through the beautiful refinished original oak framing, one sees beyond with various glass forms covering, some rippled trays, some opening and fixed clear areas, to flood the inside with light and also give a prospect of the characterful original pink coloured 14th Century Suffolk Longhouse. One section has personal sized glazed doors, within a much larger glazed opening that opens up the whole interior to join seemlessly with the outside courtyard in summer months, enjoying the evening sunsets on the BBQ terrace.
