Lightness, Order and Simplicity Lerga / Spain / 2012
The refurbishment of this patio in Lerga, a town in the North of Spain consisted in obtaining 3 important points requested by the owner:
1. Redesign the walls surrounding the patio. The walls were repaired and painted with a yellow color in order to give a feeling of warmth to the patio.
2. Low maintenance work. In order to achieve this, it was decided to place gravel avoiding the pavement of the lawn. Two types of gravel were placed. As for the vegetation, an apricot tree has been planted and the existing rose garden was kept.
3. Have a living area with a barbecue. For this a flat central area was created, covered with tiles where a table , sofas and barbecue were placed. A simple metal pergola with tarpaulins was placed in order to provide a shadowed area in summer.
Finally, the owners have been decorating the patio, placing plants in pots and different decorations on walls.
