A new beauty salon is now open in Rome. In the heart of the capital, on Via di Monte Giordano 6, a few steps away from Piazza Navona. The 100-meter-square space is located on the ground floor of a 16th century building with vaulted ceilings and roman travertine marbles.

The interior has been restored with care and respect of the original shape of the space, which recalls a deco style living room. The fixtures realized by an Italian artisan are made with precious leather, green and golden velvets, burnished brass, iron and jacquard fabrics. The salon is decorated with vintage light fixtures and an antique Florentine frame from the 16th century.

A distinctive element of the space is the wallpaper that recalls a tapestry from the 17th century. In fact the wallpaper has become the point of reference of the salon’s corporate identity.

The name of the salon is linked to the history of Rome. It celebrates Agnese, a noble Roman woman from Gens Clodia; the tradition recalls that Agnese, blamed for having been a magician was condemned to be publicly burned but her hair grew, covering her nude body.

Today, Sant’Agnese is celebrated as the protector saint of hair.

The interior design and the corporate identity was curated by Interni di Luca d’Agostino.
