One of the main goals of the project was to respect its form, avoiding modifying the footprint and volume of the building, to preserve the structure of the original project carried out by another firm. One of the main challenges for ESKEMA arquitectos team was meeting the new function needs of the building and transforming its image to host luxury apartments. The focus was to achieve the highest standards of elegance according to the presented program.

The client's requests were the following: redesign the façades, apartments and solve the problems of the core of services, so the first task was to achieve the greater space efficiency and find the space that at first sight was needed. In a first step all services were concentrated in cores such as stairs, ducts, service rooms, laundry, bathrooms, and closets, to achieve the maximum extent and efficiency.

Comfortable, generous, and bright spaces were achieved In the apartments; with large windows that take advantage of the views of the landscape and the ravine. Particular attention was paid preventing that the sober elegance resulted in a cold and characterless ambiance suggesting high quality finishes in the right balance between warmth and comfort such as wood, stone and stainless steel to create a whole atmosphere.

Working as a team with the client we decided to make white the exterior image of the building to stand out in the surrounding green environment. A ventilated facade of white ceramic bricks, interwoven with prefabricated concrete panels, was also installed in white color. The union of all elements and the new program turned out into an original structure emphasized by its large windows and unsurpassable attention to scale and proportion. Inside all the details and the combination of light with generous comfortable spaces, describe in forms the luxury requested by the client.
