During the XIX Century, the Majello were a well-known notary family, but in 1867 the great-grandfather, infatuated with a great artistic flair, fell in love with a ceramic artist’s daughter.
Ready to learn Capodimonte art, he firstly became a great disciple, then a prodigious artist, the best in Italy.  The ancient manufacturing secrets have been passed down from generation to generation, as though it was a genetic heritage.
Now it’s up to Marco Majello to abide by and keep alive the ancient Neapolitan school traditions of manufacturing Capodimonte porcelain.
All the F.lli Majello creations are handcrafted with passion and authentic love letting this Neapolitan artistic secular tradition to last.
A collaboration regarding the reinterpretation of some historical pieces of the F.lli Majello collection is born after the meeting with Vito Nesta. A project born with the aim of ‘contemporizing’ real pieces of art with a new guise in full compliance with tradition and admiration for craftsmanship, with a view to always keep alive culture, memory and the historic importance of that trade.
