This house is located in Aravaca neighborhood in Madrid and belongs to a couple with four young children who have a very contemporary lifestyle. We worked quite well with them to understand their way of life and adapt their necesities to a open and modern house. The result was very  satisfactory for both.

We wanted to explore the concepts of confort and lightness in this project. In practice, it was a construction made of few materials, mainly metal and glass, in addition to continued magnesitte floors and wood planes that give warmth to space.

Also energy saving and confort was paramount importance and led us to take care of ventilation and natural lighting issues. The crossed ventilation in all rooms, the big porches to the south, and the curtains and blinds combined with a simple but efficient home automation, provide the house with the desired comfort both in winter and in the hot summer in Madrid

The alternated use of transparent and white surfaces for vertical closures and the structure was developed with slenderness of its metallic parts as being of primordial importance.
