GlaxoSmithKline, a multinational pharmaceutical company relocated its US Headquarters to a new building at the Navy Yard site in South Philadelphia. Francis Cauffman provided full design services to facilitate the staff’s relocation to a workplace environment that fosters innovation, increases visibility and improves accessibility. The office features 100% unassigned seating with all workspaces the same size. The layout enables employees to work in “neighborhoods” with the option of a variety of work settings to use throughout the day including sit-to-stand workstations, team tables, meeting areas, social areas and soft seating.
