Turin HiFlyer
The aerostat curbed biggest in the world! Turin / Italy / 2012
The main "HiFlyer" components are the ball, the network that surrounds him, the ship and the electric motor that develops and rewinds the cord. The balloon has a volume of 6,000 m3 and is made of synthetic material with a very low porosity which contains helium.
The ship is illuminated to interior and provided with an internal projection system that allows to enliven the surface as a large screen, making it visible at a great distance 24 hours a day. Is built with aeronautical criteria, stainless steel, capable of seating up to 30 people plus the pilot and accessible to persons in wheelchairs.
The electric motor is constituted by a structure of the weight of over 10 tons and able to play and rewind a cable approximately 200 meters (ordinary operating height: 150 m). The all dimensioned with absolute safety margins. The fixed installation of Hiflyer requires an 8 mt platform for landing, an area of over 22 meters in diameter, and a docking area wide of about 50 meters in diameter.
