LIQUID CLUB OLOT | Dezain Architects

Dezain Architects is drafstman of a refurbishment in a Club located in the old town of the city of Olot (Girona). The project has consisted in getting an industrial environment and at the same time, natural, without losing the warmth of a cocktail bar. The intervention has taken place in a ground floor, with an interior space of 140m2 and a terrace of 118m2.

In the interior space, materials of the old premises have been recycled, especially the wood of numerous pallets. Using a Japanese technique called "Shou Sugi Ban", it has been burned superficially by acquiring a texture of burned wood, which has been used for wall cover. Also we have also been used a Natural materials as sisal ropes for the roof, iron for the bar and walls. A natural vegetation has been introduced to create a direct contact with nature. The interior lighting has been solved with the use of LED technology, combining various shades of temperature and various shades of color. It highlights two large spaces where Mapping is projected, giving great dynamism to space.

The interior space is connected to the terrace, through two large iron and polycarbonate doors, with a large fan, which the whole remember us in industrial times. These two large openings allow the possibility of the interior space merging with the exterior, creating a diaphanous space.

The outside area has been set out as a quiet and friendly space to converse and to be able to take the drinks in a gentle manner. For this reason, two trees and a web of natural backlit canes have been used, offering a set of shadows that gives great warmth to the space.
