The designer about the stone bowl Fossil
Fossil is a series of two bowls made as geometric blocks of natural stone. One is low and has a rectangular shape, while the other is higher and has a square footprint. Together they form a beautiful composition. What makes this design interesting are the dimensions around the concave shapes.
On the top of the blocks, a bowl is cut out from the stone. Looking from above, the bowl is assymetrically placed within the shape of the block. Because of this, the remaining flat surface suddenly becomes a influential part of the design.
