The entire design process has been built around sustainability and flexibility , two concepts that have been studied in their different meanings: functional and constructive flexibility; environmental, social and, of course, economic sustainability . These two principles have permitted us to face the different issues with a dynamic approach that has enabled us to meet the various requirements which were at the base of the competition. The project is conceived as a set of systematic human and natural things, and that is why we did not want to create any physical interruption between the area conceived to be a park and the one intended for the services. We thought of a succession of layers designed as a two-way passage, so that the transition from the park and the built-in space, and backwards, is smooth flowing.
