HOTEL PALÁCIO DO GOVERNADOR

Having in mind the historical and patrimonial value of the building in which the hotel is built, the interior design project has been carefully developed with the intention of enhancing this cultural heritage and, in honor of the Portuguese presence in the Orient, we turn to use of faience inspired in "Companhia das Índias", highlighting one of the most prosperous periods of Portugal - the Portuguese Discoveries.

The interior concept is also focused on the beautiful panels of the existing tiles, whose main themes are - the Portuguese maritime expansion, religious iconography and various decorative elements (geometric, vegetal etc). The tile is a distinctive element of Portuguese culture, then we are having given a high prominence mainly to turn into works of art social sanitary facilities, the spa and also the reproduction of the patterns on the carpets and the hotel tapestries.

To complete the interior program, we placed "Dune Sofa" that won in 2011 the best design of the world into the Design Et Al Awards. Its debugged design contrasts with the balance of the rich tile panels of the chapel and the magnificent sculpture designed by the hotel architects.
