FH CAMPUS VIENNA
Vienna / Austria
The complex is located between an extensive, gently sloping, south-facing hill in the green belt and two busy roads. This position means that the site’s character is ambivalent: defined on one hand, by open landscape and, on the other, by main traffic thoroughfares. The concept creates an interface between characteristic inner-city block structures and the less compact construction density of the periphery. The freestanding horizontal building, with its light coloured ALUCOBOND® façade and architectural concept, is embedded in the environment and yet reinterprets it according
to its own rationale. The functional and creative concept is complemented by the gently sculpted surrounding external areas. The light colours used in the interior and exterior create a stimulating learning atmosphere.
