Objective of the design was the creation of a bar-restaurant, representing modern times, as well as reminiscent of the aesthetics of the past.

Next to the open kitchen, one finds the bar, designed using a mixture of materials and aesthetics representing both past & present.

Adjacent, is the main dining room with the imposing backlitten “vitrail” on the roof. The lounge area found in front of the bar, as well as the dinning room, have as common element a colorful surface in trapezoidal patterns, cladding both the wall and the roof. Mirrors inserted on the walls, are also a common reference point.

That said, the design concept is implementing a continuous space, with three different functions in continuation. An open kitchen, a bar and a dining room, functioning independently and supplementary.

The open kitchen is located by the bistro’s entrance, along with a food bench that offers views to the food preparation. Following, is a lounge space with low chairs and tables. This space also accommodates the bar which serves the bistro’s exterior as well the interior.

Next to the lounge, the dining room is rather private, situated in a lower level and far from the entrance. These  adjacent spaces, although different in function, are composed by common design elements, ensuring a connected whole.

The sidewall of the stairs to the mezzanine, is a custom made illuminated wine cellar which, ensures the lighting of the stairs.

In the mezzanine, a wardrobe, WC and a waiting room can be found, as well as a small space for a DJ, overlooking the entire bistro.

Adjacent to the kitchen, there is a space for bakery and pastry preparation.

All electromechanical elements, and especially those of the ventilation system are incorporated within the design, so as to remain invisible, e.g. air outlets are hidden around the lighting fixtures of the ceiling.
