Additions and alterations to a 1920s timber semi, including a new first floor, rear ground floor, decking and carparking.

The original house facade facing the street was retained, and a new entrance created in the side elevation.

Internally, the Living spaces are bright, minimal and airy, opening to the rear courtyard and raised decking area. The transition from lighter existing timber weatherboard to darker lightweight metal cladding assists in maintaining the original building character whilst reducing the  building bulk using colour, and details. The roof is a linking element, reducing and masking the addition from the street.
