A former office space was transformed into a spacious loft in the middle of the city. The owner was looking for a specific mood, he lost his heart to New York. With a potential lateral view, the space was left as free as possible. A subtle placement of a single volume for the open bathroom retained the open character. A large wall was reduced to feel the whole space again. By providing a wooden floor as a mezzanine, a handy extra space was created for guests, an additional bathroom and storage. On the front side, one bay was transformed into an indoor patio. A steel frame window gave the right atmosphere, together with the washed concrete floor on the terrace. An old wooden floor, raw concrete ceilings, an industrial kitchen, ... they all contribute to the atmosphere of the Big Apple. A large majestic bookcase is the focal point and shows nice collectibles of the resident.
