As fans of Scandinavian-style design, this young family approached us ready with lots of interesting ideas and wishes. They wanted a vibrant space that would inspire them, but also a place where they could retreat and play together.
It was a complex, but interesting challenge: how to turn 1-bedroom flat into a 2-bedroom apartment, without sacrificing amenities such as a comfortable kitchen and a spacious living room, where the whole family could gather and receive guests.
The result is an airy interior that's full of light and color. The walls are accented with geometric wallpaper that's visually interesting, yet easy on the eyes. We also used a variety of architectural techniques to make the most efficient use of the limited space and emphasize the best features of this apartment.
