Astronomy Center Redsand

       The wars of mankind have always left a strong and deep wound over history and changed the lives of many. Therefore, the Redsand must remain preserverd to send forth a message from the past to the new generations.

       The first step for evolution is to learn from our mistakes and try to change. Redsand forts must be designed to became the first element in the course of society changing.

       Our project is trying to solve the human problems removing them straight from the source. Now the Redsand consists of 7 forts that were used in the past for offshore defence against the german magnetic influence mines. The main ideea of HESS is to use the magnetic field in a constructive manner not in a distructive way, with the main purpose to evolve. The ideea of using the magnetic field to produce energy was first imagined by Nikola Tesla in late 19th century. He wanted to create an alternative energy source, free and sustainable proposing a magnetic generator that until now it hadn't a great attention from scientists.
       But HESS tryes with a much more evolved technology to implement this concept at a larger scale, in order to obtain free energy for a self-sustain scientific complex. This can be done by creating a disk that sorrounds the Redsand forts embedding the magnetic generator toghether with housing, gardens and greenhouses (farming).

       The whole scientific complex energy requirements can be sustained by the generator that functions regardless any climate condition, making power both day and nighttime without having many maintanances.
With such a technology the other problems that a self-sustaining "island" has can be easly solved. The drinking water can be produced by using a desalinization system without thinking at the power costs simultaneously with the more used rain water collecting and purifying systems.

       The other part that HESS project focuses is on the reconecting humans with nature. So the astronomical centre has an agora composed by hexagonal floating platforms that sustain an natural park. The access is made through three pontons positioned symetricaly. The forts accesses are made through the proposed elevators.
