Tree - is a symbol of beauty, power and wisdom of nature. City is developing like a tree. It has its own history - a prototype of the root, stem. The future of the city - a new concept, new technology, new buildings. They are like a fresh branchesand leaves, giving rise to a new life.

City and nature are always interrelated and interdependent. The story of their struggle and community is instructive and  interesting. The idea and image of the projected building of the Museum of Nature in Ekaterinburg are based on the discovery of this relationship.

The site of the proposed nature museum with underground parking is located in the Ekaterinburg in the boundaries of streets Chelyuskintsev, Papanina. Area of the territory is 5,5 hectares. The site has a very good transport accessibility.

The building is projected around the under construction business and public center "Ekaterinburg-city". A small number of floors of the museum does not create barries to the  perception of the city panorama from premises neighboring objects. Visitors of the museum are  also  able to see a picture of the panoramic image  of the city while  being in uper levels of the museum.

Disposition of the museum provides a favorable environment for visitors and staff.Functional zoning fully satisfies the requirements of pedestrians.

Supposed to associate public area of the business district and museum park transitions, both underground and overground.This decision is based on the need for separation of pedestrians and vehicles, and allows for easy movement from one area to another area of the museum.Territory of the museum is also connected to the opposite side of the pond footbridges, serving as part of the recreation area.

The building is located at a distance from the city pond with the requirements of the water protection zoning.Storage of cars is provided in the underground parking.

The planning concept of the project is to divide the object into multiple zones (blocks).They are connected to transitions and landscaped terraces.The museum includes the department of history and nature of the Urals and Ekaterinburg, mineralogical department and block changing exhibitions.

The museum has several entrance areas.Approaches to them formed using of ramps and lifts.This is caused by a great number already mentioned pedestrian connections.The main direction of pedestrian traffic is concentrated along the waterfront.

Pedestrian bridge passes through the central volume,connecting the opposite side of the pond, cultural and business area of the complex Ekaterinburg City.It serves as the distribution of the hall, which has several inputs.From the lower level visitors enter to the cafe.On the same level are located depository and technical facilities.Volume associated with the underground passage of public and business area of the complex Ekaterinburg City includes a space intended for education and staff (conference room, office space).

At the top mark is a "winter" entrance with a distribution area and exhibition spaces.Further, if you follow the footbridge, it is possible to get to the'' summer'' entrance of the museum.The next level also includes exhibition spaces. Getting on the accessible roof, visitors can relax under the overhanging structures reminiscent of woody forms and acts as pergolas.

The supporting structure of the building - a shell of reinforced concrete,structural elements are interwoven in a tree-like strands and cover the entire structure of the building.

Its ''internal skeleton'' - branched columns, connected to the beams.Used three-chamber self-cleaning windows.For maintaining upper floors of exhibition levels are applied cable-stayed design.
